What is your motivation for quitting a well paying job so that you can journey across the country with minimal supples and money? What is important to you about your leisre time? About life?

Ever since I was young, I always had a fascination with the great outdoors. I could never do what I wanted though, because my parents had other plans for me. So I decided that after I graduated from college I would travel the United States with minimal supplies. I'm a minimal guy, and I figured this journey would enhance my bond with nature. What truly fascinates me is the fact that I can live independently and free of life's everyday worries. My leisure time is important becuase if gives me time to do what I want without further obligations from my job, my family, etc. My family is important to me as well as my constant desire to become one with nature.
